Stop HIV Iowa is an initiative of NuCara Specialty Pharmacy Staffing Services, Capacity Extension Section. We are an independent contractor of the Bureau of HIV, STI, and Hepatitis at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), with offices located in the Historic East Village of Des Moines and throughout Iowa.
NuCara Capacity Extension provides public health staffing and programming with a focus on extending the capacity and agility of the Bureau of HIV, STI, and Hepatitis. We are currently seeking applicants for the following roles:
Community Engagement Coordinator
The community engagement coordinator will work with programs within the Bureau of HIV, STI, and Hepatitis to develop and coordinate a framework for inviting community members into the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of approaches to reduce the impact of HIV, STIs, and hepatitis. Please note: Candidates with any combination of education and experience that would contribute to success in the role will be considered. HIV Behavioral Health Coordinator
This position is part of the Ryan White team at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. The primary purpose of this contract position is to coordinate efforts to ensure that access to behavioral health services among people with HIV is prioritized in policies, procedures, and programming.
